La implantología es un campo fascinante porque el tema es aún nuevo y mucho menos de las ramas de la odontología, conlleva a una relación determinada por el sistema estomatognático sistema oral, ya que el implante que se haga debe aguantar fuerzas de traumatismo oclusal.
El objetivo máximo de implantología es sin duda llegar a la obtención de un tipo de implante en condiciones óptimas de retención fisiológica estable.
El implante es un elemento más que hay que saber utilizar, hay que conocer el paciente, las indicaciones del implante y la correcta ejecución si no se quiere que un implante aunque bien ejecutado se transforme en un fracaso.
