The overall objective of the research was to describe the most frequent malocclusions in patients with unilateral cleft lip and palate in order to understand and determine them. The study focuses on the behavior of the dental and skeletal components of malocclusions, describing skeletal and vertical malocclusion, as well as dental malocclusion in the three planes of space: anteroposterior, vertical, and transverse. The variables considered were: AGE, TYPE OF DENTITION (mixed-permanent), CLEFT LIP AND PALATE (unilateral), DENTAL MALOCCLUSION, and DENTOSKELETAL MEASUREMENTS. These variables were taken into account to achieve the objectives of the Tolima Smile Operation.El propósito de este estudio es aportar conocimientos a los especialistas de ortodoncia para una mejor conducción del tratamiento en los pacientes con labio y paladar hendido de la región del Tolima; además de servir como base para posteriores investigaciones de tipo longitudinal (cohortes). El objetivo general de la investigación fue describir en los pacientes con labio y paladar hendido unilateral para comprender y determinar las maloclusiones más frecuentes. El propósito de este estudio es el comportamiento de los componentes dental y esqueletal de las maloclusiones, describir la maloclusión esquelética y vertical, como también la maloclusión dental en los tres pianos del espacio; anteroposterior, vertical y transversal.
