The study was carried out at the sectional health level of Bogotá, at the regional level in the regional health unit No. 4 Santa Clara and at the local level in the local operating unit No. 64 Pablo VI Bosa. The study is completed with the programming of dental treatment for 1983 at the local level carried out at the Pablo VI Bosa Health Center. By observing and analyzing the statistics of 1982 it is suggested that in this center the quality of health care be improved as planned.Este trabajo describe el Sistema Nacional de Salud en aspectos generales de política de salud, objetivos y organización para su conocimiento y comprensión y en aspectos específicos como son las unidades ejecutoras del nivel local, pasando por el estudio del nivel seccional y el nivel regional con el objeto de conocer íntimamente el área de salud con fines didácticos y de beneficio propio para optimizar la atención a las personas durante el servicio social obligatorio y seguidamente durante el ejercicio de la profesión odontológica. El estudio se realizó a nivel seccional de salud de Bogotá, a nivel regional en la unidad regional de salud No. 4 Santa Clara y a nivel local en la unidad operativa local No. 64 Pablo VI Bosa. El estudio se completa con la programación de tratamiento odontológico para 1983 a nivel local realizado en el Centro de Salud Pablo VI Bosa.
