The literature review revealed that the most common fracture site is the mandibular angle, followed by the mandibular condyle. Other variables were also found, such as age (the risk of mandibular fracture increases with age due to bone demineralization), surgical techniques, the position of the impacted tooth, and bone quality. To mitigate these risks, a thorough clinical evaluation of the patient and a good diagnosis are essential. The most effective diagnostic tool is panoramic radiography, as it provides a clearer view of the impacted tooth and its surrounding anatomical structures.Este estudio nos muestra los terceros molares como un factor de riesgo para las fracturas mandibulares. Durante la revisión bibliográfica se halló que el sitio de mayor incidencia de fractura es el ángulo mandibular seguido por el cóndilo mandibular. También se encontró que existen otras variables como edad (A mayor edad, aumenta el riesgo de fractura mandibular debido a la descalcificación ósea), técnicas quirúrgicas, posición del diente impactado, calidad ósea.
