Their use is increasingly common worldwide; approximately six million women were using Implanton NXT® in 2010. According to the ENDS survey, among women aged 15 to 19 who were not using any method at the time of the interview but wished to do so, the preferred methods for future use were: implants (43.8%), injections (27.7%), and pills (11.3%) (1).Los implantes subdérmicos son métodos con alta efectividad anticonceptiva y de acción prolongada, que pueden ser utilizados por la mayoría de las mujeres en diferentes circunstancias, incluso en mujeres con condiciones médicas que contraindican el uso de otros métodos anticonceptivos hormonales.
