There is variation in the protocols for the use of final-stage resins. Objective: To evaluate the effect of different post-curing protocols on the microhardness and surface hardness of 3D-printed dental resins for definitive use. Method: In vitro experimental study. Sixty discs of Prizma 3D Bio Crown Diamond resin (10 mm × 2 mm) were fabricated and randomly assigned to six groups (n = 10) according to the post-curing protocol: Elegoo Mercury Plus 2.0 LED system with and without oxygen for 15 and 30 minutes, and the Otoflash G171 system with and without a nitrogen atmosphere. Microhardness was assessed using the Vickers test and surface hardness using the Shore D test. The data were analysed using Welch’s ANOVA and the Games–Howell post hoc test (p < 0.05). Results: Microhardness differed significantly between the post-curing protocols (p < 0.001), with the highest values recorded in the Elegoo groups treated with oxygen (39.1 HV) and the lowest in the E-S15 and O-N groups (36.0 HV). The Shore D surface hardness ranged from 93.3 to 94.3, with no significant differences between the groups (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Post-curing protocols affect the mechanical properties of 3D-printed resins, particularly microhardness. Elegoo-type LED systems, in the presence of oxygen, exhibited higher microhardness and surface hardness, suggesting greater polymerisation efficiency and suitability for use in digital restorative workflows. Evaluation of the effect of different post-curing protocols on the microhardness and surface hardness of 3D-printed dental resins intended for permanent use.text::thesis::bachelor thesisPR-BOG-20242-2HardnessHardness TestsPrintingThree-DimensionalIn Vitro TechniquesDental resinsopenAccess
