Negligent practice is the improper treatment a practitioner provides to a patient, resulting in harm or damage to the patient. Iatrogenesis, as such, has existed since the beginning of science. Conduct that falls short of the established standard of care for the patient against the reasonable risk of harm. A dentist may be liable for negligence if they fail to comply with the legal standards of treatment and inflict harm on the patient. Four specific elements of negligence must be proven in order to impose liability on the dentist: 1) Duty to the patient; 2) Breach of duty; 3) Proximate cause; and 4) Damages. The dentist has a legal duty to provide treatment, procedures, and care.Con respecto al término YATROGENIA, lo podríamos relacionar, que es un tipo de NEGLIGENCIA, y la negligencia es una clase de AGRAVIO.La práctica negligente es el tratamiento inadecuado que un practicante da a un paciente, resultando en perjuicio o daño para el paciente. La Yatrogenia, como tal existe, desde el momento mismo que existen las ciencias. Conducta que no satisface el estándar de cuidados establecidos paciente contra el riesgo de daño razonable. Un odontólogo puede ser responsable de negligencia si no cumple con las normas legales de un tratamiento e inflige algún daño al paciente. Es necesario probar cuatro elementos específicos de negligencia en el para imponer al dentista el cargo de responsabilidad: 1) Deber hacia el paciente; 2) contravención al deber; 3) Causa inmediata, y 4) Daños y perjuicios.
