The above is to foresee a conditioning and location of the oral structures in the best physiological disposition within the integral context of the human being. Elements of bone formation, muscular physiology of molecular exchange and reactions of specific areas that can be motivated and activated with orthopedic follow-up, supported by pre-diagnostic analyses that result in a positive prognosis are highlighted. For the execution of orthopedic therapy, deep biological knowledge is essential, especially in relation to physiology and embryology, in order to truly assess the anatomical and physiological modifications produced by functional activity. The term maxillary orthopedic originated from the German word Kiete Rorthopedie; It is based, like medical orthopedics, on the possibility of modifying the shape of the bones, muscles and position of the teeth, which will influence chewing, swallowing, breathing, phonation and aesthetics for the stomatognathic system and the general health of the patient.El campo de la Ortopedia maxilar ha servido en estos últimos años, para motivar el profesional en el esquema, de integración de conocimientos dentro de las disciplinas básicas Biológicas y el enlace de estas con el proceso, de crecimiento y desarrollo del niño, en sus fases primarias y de cambios fisiológicos normales. Lo anterior para prever un acondicionamiento y ubicación de las estructuras orales en la mejor disposición fisiológica dentro del contexto integral del ser humano. Resaltan elementos de formación ósea, de Fisiología muscular de intercambio molecular y de reacciones de zonas específicas que pueden ser motivadas y activadas con seguimiento ortopédico, apoyados en los análisis prediagnóstico que tengan como resultado un pronóstico positivo. Para la ejecución de la terapéutica ortopédica son indispensables profundos conocimientos biológicos especialmente en lo referente a la fisiología y Embriología para poder valorar realmente las modificaciones anatómicas y fisiológicas producidas por la actividad funcional.
