The infrazygomatic crest is inferior to the zygomatic process, the maxillary sinus, and superior to the alveolar process, where it can be located in the first or second molar, it is one of the most used mini-implant placement sites, for which is important to know its anatomical dimensions. The bone thickness of the infrazygomatic crest can be altered by factors such as age, pneumatization of the maxillary sinus, loss of teeth, and the facial biotype of the patient.Los miniimplantes ortodóncicos se utilizan como anclaje esquelético absoluto, estos ofrecen una variedad de aplicaciones clínicas, se debe considerar tanto la calidad y la cantidad del hueso en el sitio de la inserción ya que son factores determinantes de la estabilidad primaria, lo que garantiza el éxito de los miniimplantes. La cresta infracigomática se encuentra inferior a la apófisis cigomática, al seno maxilar y superior al proceso alveolar, donde se puede ubicar en el primer o segundo molar, es uno de los sitios de colocación de miniimplantes más utilizados, por lo cual es importante conocer sus dimensiones anatómicas.
