This indiscriminate and irrational handling of hemophilia and its relationship with the dental patient must be carefully reviewed to provide this type of patient with the appropriate, comprehensive, and scientific professional care they deserve. We always hide behind the danger that the hemophiliac patient may experience severe bleeding, preventing any dental treatment, no matter how simple. Hemophiliacs should not be deprived of the comprehensive protection of their health as individuals, and it should be the dentist's responsibility to provide them with the necessary care, in consultation with the hematologist.El paciente hemofílico ha sido considerado un individuo cuyo tratamiento odontológico, por ignorancia del profesional, debe limitarse a la atención mínima necesaria para eliminar el dolor. Este manejo indiscriminado e irracional de la hemofilia y su relación con el paciente odontológico debe revisarse cuidadosamente para dar a este tipo de paciente la atención profesional completa adecuada y científica que se merece. Siempre nos escudamos en el peligro de que el paciente hemofílico presenta severas hemorragias, impidiendo cualquier tratamiento odontológico, por más simple que este sea.
