It is natural that this harmony can be disrupted because the hard and soft tissues are not always in perfect balance. Therefore, disharmonies between the constituent parts give rise to anomalies, in this case, dentomaxillofacial anomalies. We refer to the terms nasia when speaking of the upper jaw and mentonism when referring to the lower jaw. There are interventions aimed at correcting these malformations, and two surgical solutions are proposed: purely surgical methods that replace orthodontics, and surgical procedures performed to facilitate orthodontic treatment, depending on the severity of the deformity.Las regiones dental y maxilofacial que en conjunto forman la cara, tienen la disposición de una natural armonía que constituye la belleza.
