This thesis focuses on understanding the relationship between Colombia and the United States in the plastics sector from 2010 to 2021. It was possible to identify the behavior of this sector, identify opportunities for improvement for the country, and identify new market prospects. Among the benefits covered by this project is that it can provide future companies seeking to operate in this sector with more relevant information that will benefit their projects or ventures, and also help them become more competitive as a country in this sector.El comercio intraindustrial se entiende como el intercambio de bienes de la misma industria y que sean similares entre países, regiones, o estados; este proyecto de grado está enfocado a entender el este entre Colombia y Estados Unidos en lo que es el sector de plásticos en el periodo de años 2010-2021, se logró identificar el comportamiento de este sector, identificar oportunidades de mejora para el país y nuevos prospectos para el mercado.
