This article explores the possibility of preserving this ridge using the Root Submergence technique, with and without a membrane, in teeth with a poor prognosis, as an adjunct to oral rehabilitation treatment, thus creating both aesthetics and functionality. This technique will have a greater chance of success if periodontal tissue is generated over the tooth structure, incorporating the root within the bone and preventing organic rejection. The use of a physical barrier allows us to prevent the rapid migration of underlying tissue and/or connective tissue over the root structure, ensuring that periodontal ligament cells colonize first, leading to the formation of periodontal tissue.Cada vez que se efectúa una exodoncia, el proceso reparativo de cicatrización produce una reabsorción del reborde alveolar. Se plantea aquí la posibilidad de preservar ese reborde con la técnica de Sumersión Radicular con y sin membrana, en dientes con pronóstico desfavorable, como un coadyuvante posterior al tratamiento de rehabilitación oral; creando así estética y funcionalidad. Esta técnica tendrá mayores posibilidades de éxito, si sobre el corte de la estructura dentaria se genera un tipo de tejido periodontal que incorpore la raíz dentro del cuerpo óseo evitando el rechazo orgánico.
