Stack, in 1883, commented that transplants, replantations, and replacements should be performed for the poor "who could not afford artificial teeth." Intentional replantation has been defined as the useful extraction of a tooth for extraoral endodontic treatment and healing of the apical soft tissue (if present), followed by repositioning the tooth in its bony and periodontal anchorage. Tooth replantation is not a new process. It has been practiced for over a century. When it has been practiced, it may not be well known, since many consider it a professional service rather than a research or experimental project worthy of reporting or even annotation.La historia del reimplante de los dientes data de los siglos XVIII y XIX.
