Methods The study that was implemented for this research was of a retrospective descriptive type, clinical histories were taken from patients treated and indicated for the installation of dental implants installed in the UNICOC Cali periodontics clinic in the period 2019-2 to 2023-2. For the present study, the sample size was not calculated and all implants installed in the evaluation time period in 204 patients in total during the 5-year period were included. Results: The patients who consulted the most were women, 68.3% of whom were of legal age. For the installation of the implant, the type of bone that occurred with the highest percentage at the time of the procedure was type 3 with 45.2%, the patients who consulted for implant implantation for reasons of masticatory function were 63. 4%. ASA I patients in 65.9%. The most used Brand of implants was Miss at 62.7%, all implants made of Titanium material. Controls of the installed implants were carried out after 6 months in 32.5% of postoperative care. Conclusion: The areas where the most teeth were replaced are in the upper and anterior arch, specifically in the incisors, and in the posterior arch, in the molars. The commercial brand of titanium implants installed that predominated was MIS and those that were least performed in that period of time were SIM brand implants. It also shows that the majority of patients who consulted for dental implant treatment are women and the patients who were interested in dental implants were mostly those who had lost between 5 or more teeth since their main reason for consultation was return chewing function.Objetivo: Identificar las características sociodemográficas y clínicas de los pacientes y características físicas de los implantes instalados en la Clínica Odontológica de la Institución Universitaria Colegios de Colombia entre los años 2019-2023. Métodos El estudio que se implementó para esta investigación fue de tipo retrospectivo descriptivo, se tomaron historias clínicas de pacientes atendidos e indicados para la instalación de implantes dentales instalados en la clínica de periodoncia de UNICOC Cali en el periodo 2019-2 a 2023-2. Para el presente estudio no se calculó el tamaño de muestra y se incluyeron todos los implantes instalados en el lapso de tiempo de evaluación, en 204 pacientes en total, durante el periodo de 5 años. Resultados: Los pacientes que más consultaron fueron mujeres en un 68.3% mayores de edad. Para la instalación del implante el tipo de hueso que se presentó con mayor porcentaje en el momento del procedimiento fue el tipo 3 con un 45,2%, los pacientes que consultaron para la Implantación de implantes por motivos de función masticatoria fueron en un 63.4%. Pacientes ASA I en un 65.9%. La Marca más utilizada de implantes fue Miss en un 62.7%, en material en Titanio todos los implantes. Los controles de los implantes instalados se realizaron a los 6 meses en un 32,5% de asistencia posoperatoria. Conclusión: Las zonas donde se remplazaron más dientes es en la arcada superior y anterior específicamente en los incisivos y en posterior en molares. La marca comercial de los implantes en titanio instalados que predominó fue MIS y los que menos se realizaron en ese periodo de tiempo fueron los implantes marca SIM.
