This research will address the etiology, analyze the main signs and symptoms, identify the different types of treatment for each type of displacement, and describe the surgical techniques that may be performed in these cases. Finally, all the information collected will be used to create a simple and effective protocol aimed at preventing anterior disc displacement with and without reduction. By reviewing the literature of various authors, a deeper understanding of the subject is achieved, emphasizing the importance of recognizing these disorders in a timely manner in order to prevent greater and progressive damage.No todas las alteraciones funcionales de la articulación temporomandibular (ATM) son iguales; por lo tanto, es esencial una adecuada identificación de los signos y síntomas, así como el establecimiento de un diagnóstico exacto para poder efectuar un tratamiento con éxito. En esta investigación se reconocerá la etiología, se analizarán los principales signos y síntomas, se identificarán los diferentes tipos de tratamiento para cada uno de los desplazamientos, se señalarán los tipos de técnicas quirúrgicas que se puedan realizar en estos casos y, por último, se utilizará toda la información recopilada para crear un protocolo sencillo y eficaz que permita la prevención del desplazamiento anterior del disco con y sin reducción.
