Different patients were used as a reference, taking into account age, race, and the duration of the restoration in the mouth. Periodontal treatment requires that the dentist possess a thorough knowledge of basic biological principles and that periodontal prevention and treatment be practiced as part of general dentistry. In the past, periodontics was not considered important for the comprehensive treatment of the individual; more emphasis was placed on restorations in all their functional areas, neglecting the patient's periodontal health and everything it encompasses: the gingiva, its structure, function, and anatomy. Dentistry today is 80% preventive, which leads us to motivate and educate the patient on oral health by teaching them good brushing techniques so that the periodontal system remains healthy.Hacer una comparación de la encía normal con encía con prótesis parcial fija del segmento anterior teniendo en cuenta aspectos importantes tales como fisiología y anatomía; formando como referencia diferentes pacientes de acuerdo con la edad, raza y tiempo de la restauración en boca. El tratamiento periodontal exige que el Odontólogo posea un conocimiento a fondo de los principios biológicos, básicos y que la prevención y el tratamiento periodontal se ejerciten como parte de la odontología general. En tiempos pasados la periodoncia no se catalogaba como algo importante en el individuo para su tratamiento integral; dándole mas importancia a la restauración en todos sus campos funcionales, dejando de lado la salud periodontal del paciente y todo lo que encierra: La encía, estructura, función y anatomía.
