This is a cause for concern for the dentist who has little information about hemophilia, complications and treatment, which prevents him from providing adequate care to these patients. The purpose of this work is therefore oriented to: identify aspects related to hemophilia; emphasizing the clinic, prevention and diagnosis and treatment of the same by the dentist, using a model of dental clinical history for hemophiliac patients. Through this descriptive research, it is intended to make known some general aspects about hemophilia, complications that a hemophiliac person may present, due to interventions or manipulations in the oral cavity, the role of the dentist in the face of complications. Finally, a design or model of specific clinical history for the hemophiliac patient from the dental point of view will be presented. It is hoped that this work will be a stimulus for all those dentists who wish to provide better care and timely service to each of the hemophiliac patients who attend their office or a hospital.El manejo del paciente hemofílico en odontología se ha considerado de alto riesgo debido a la gravedad de la enfermedad; razón por la cual, este tipo de pacientes son manejados a nivel hospitalario y no en el consultorio odontológico. Siendo este motivo de preocupación para el odontólogo quien posee poca información sobre: la hemofilia, complicaciones y tratamiento lo cual le impiden brindar una atención adecuada a estos pacientes. El propósito del presente trabajo por lo tanto está orientado a: identificar aspectos relacionados con la hemofilia; haciendo énfasis en la clínica, prevención y diagnóstico y tratamiento de la misma por parte del odontólogo, utilizando un modelo de historia clínica odontológica para pacientes hemofílicos. A través de esta investigación descriptiva se pretende dar a conocer algunos aspectos generales sobre la hemofilia, complicaciones que pueda presentar una persona hemofílica, debidas a intervenciones o manipulaciones en la cavidad oral, papel del odontólogo frente a las complicaciones. Finalmente se presentará un diseño o modelo de historia clínica específica para el paciente hemofílico desde el punto de vista odontológico.
