Fires occur because one or more flammable materials are consumed uncontrollably by flames, without regard for living beings. The fire triangle consists of combustible material, oxygen, and a heat source. We must know the class of material causing the fire; for this, there is a classification system (A, B, C, D) to use the most effective extinguishing method. All buildings must have architectural designs that allow for the protection of people in case of fire, such as stairwells and emergency exits. To do this, we must be prepared by creating a good emergency plan that should be practiced regularly, having a good fire extinguisher, and the necessary first aid supplies. We should contact the fire department and try to evacuate the area as quickly as possible to assess the damage to personnel and the building and provide assistance to those affected.Para prevenir un desastre, es fundamental que todos sepan qué son los incendios, cómo se originan, cómo controlarlos y cómo reaccionar, ya que estamos expuestos a ellos a diario. Los incendios se producen cuando uno o más materiales inflamables se consumen incontrolablemente por las llamas, sin importar la vida humana. El triángulo del fuego está compuesto por material combustible, oxígeno y una fuente de calor. Es necesario conocer la clase de material que causa el incendio; para ello, existe un sistema de clasificación (A, B, C, D) que permite utilizar el método de extinción más eficaz.
