Proper management of the tooth-implant connection may represent a favorable option that reduces surgical trauma and is an additional option in partial edentulism that provides patients with satisfactory results of comfort, functionality and aesthetics, compared to fixed prostheses supported only by implants.Los implantes dentales han tenido éxito en el tratamiento de pacientes parcialmente edéntulos; lo que ha generado un gran número de alternativas de tratamiento, dentro de ellos la carga diente implante; siendo esta opción, una de las alternativas que han generado controversia y debate, no solo por las diferencias biomecánicas que esto demanda sino también por las conclusiones a las que han llegado los diferentes estudios referentes a este tema, as diferencias biomecánicas en la conexión diente-implante y la transmisión de estrés a los tejidos de soporte podrían considerarse como un desafío en el funcionamiento de la prótesis fija.
